Some Things to Keep in Mind:

From this point on if you reserves a spot at the hotel, you will automatically get a room with two double beds. This will be helpful for anyone wanting to room share as you will get the conference room rate but be able to split costs depending upon the number of people in the room. All rooms under conference rate are double rooms!!! This means if you wants a King room, you must specifically request it and then send a note to the hotel requesting the room type be changed to a King. If you don’t do this, you will get a room with 2 doubles.

Only one person can register in room share situations. Do not tell the hotel how many are sharing — just put the room in one person’s name. You can work out on your own payment details with your roomies.

•The hotel will put a hold on your debit card for an estimated amount for charges you may incur during your stay. If you can use a credit card for this instead, it will leave your debit card available for incidental expenses. Alternatively, you can also bring travelers’ checks for any expenses you have during your stay in California.

•There is a fee to use the hotel shuttle to and from the airport. We will confirm the amount, but it is around $15 – 20 each way.

•If you can arrange to stay at the Crowne Plaza, it is much more convenient than trying to find a deal at another hotel. If you wait until the last minute, the hotel may be booked. Surrounding hotels last year knew the Crowne Plaza was booked solid, so they took advantage of those who waited by charging more for their rooms. •Be sure and check out the sights in Redondo Beach before or after the conference, such as whale watching, Catalina Island tours and more. Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and other Southern California attractions are within easy driving distance. Check out the local sights here.

•The hotel offers a pool that is available year round. This is preferable to swimming in the ocean in March. Please feel free to avail yourself of all the amenities the hotel has to offer, such as the salon, the business center and other services.

•Be sure to call the following numbers to get the conference rate: 1-800-368-9760 or 1-310-318-7717. If you call or use the website to reserve your room, you will be charged the regular rate for your room. Conference rates have now dropped to $139 per night! There is a 48 hour cancellation and/or Early departure fee of $50 plus tax. For instance, if you booked your room through Sunday, but left on Saturday, the early departure fee would be charged. Rooms can be shared with up to 3 other people, which can save you money on your accommodations.
